Appling Heights is a neighborhood of 124 homes located off of Dresden Drive between Shallowford Road and Chamblee Tucker Road.  My family and I moved to this neighborhood about 39 years ago. It was a very quiet neighborhood.  Dresden Drive was not a through street then but ended in a cul-de-sac just at Appling Way.  Over the years we have seen many neighbors come and go, and now we are a diverse mix of nationalities.  When Dresden Drive was extended to Chamblee Tucker Road, traffic greatly increased, of course.  My husband and I have enjoyed living in Appling Heights.  We have a good Neighborhood Watch Program.  The people are friendly, properties are maintained well, and we feel our neighborhood is relatively quiet and safe.
