Why?

Help us update our Town Center Master Plan ….Lots of things are going to change downtown in the next ten years. We want to change it for the better. What do you want it to become?

A lot has changed. More change is coming!

We can’t do this right without YOU! Make it the place you want it to be - and also for your kids!

The City wants to take this opportunity to hear from local residents, property owners and businesses about how to make a Town Center for Downtown Chamblee that will be a great place for you to live, work, and have fun.

This requires full involvement from local property owners, businesses, and residents.

The Master Plan update will focus on the community’s vision for Downtown - enhancing Chamblee’s sense of place, increasing walkability, improving the Chamblee MARTA Station area, providing a higher quality of life, adding more

places to work, shop, and have fun.

This means making important decisions about how to use City resources and build new public-private partnerships for a better downtown.

The City of Chamblee recently received a Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission to help fund the master plan effort. The City will build upon past planning efforts by performing a re-assessment of market conditions, land use/development, and transportation facilities and report on area challenges and opportunities.

The Chamblee Town Center Master Plan effort will result in an updated vision for the Downtown and Chamblee MARTA Station Area and a five-year action plan. The plan will include projects and initiatives aimed at spurring appropriate development, increasing connectivity, and providing transportation options.

If you have questions concerning the Chamblee Town Center Master Plan please contact Gary Cornell, Director of Development for the City of Chamblee, at (770) 986-5010 ext. 223. The city’s website will also include postings of all project presentations and provide an opportunity for resident feedback and input.
